15A Figuring Out Buying Behavior 2
15A- Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No.2
`
I interviewed three people and informed them about my shoe designing business. I talked to them about pricing and learned a lot about their buying behaviors. The three people I chose were completely different ages but somehow fell into the same segment. My first interview was my younger sister who is 15, my second interview was my best friend who is 21, and my third interview was my mom who is 50. While they are all different ages and have different amounts of money to spend, they all have one thing in common. They love fashion and art, and all bought a pair of my shoes. Not just to support me but because they genuinely like to wear unique and creative clothes and shoes.
A concern they had about my business is timing. It takes me almost two weeks to receive draw and paint on a pair of shoes. They mentioned that people want things when they want it and can easily order it online immediately or go to the mall and buy it immediately. With my business you cannot do that.
I found it very interesting that my younger sister and my best friend both prefer to shop online, while my mother refuses to shop online and says that she likes to go to the mall because “shopping is her cardio.” I think this shows a significant difference in buying behavior among different age groups and can affect who buys my product.
Hannah,
ReplyDeleteI think you did a good job of interviewing new people, but I think you should elaborate in more detail these interviews to give the audience a better idea of their answers. In the future, you should give more detailed answers when summarizing your interviews or even giving some dialogue of what they had to say.
Hey Hannah great job with your post, I agree that for most consumers a desire for a new design of shoe will either run up to the store and buy it or order it online. However, I believe that your business model is built on the fact that what you offer is unique, original, and completely custom which will extend to a small segment of consumers at first but grow rapidly as the company gets more attention. Awesome idea, good luck!
ReplyDeleteHey Hannah,
ReplyDeleteAmazing job on the interviews and nice idea of the shoe business. A shoe business is a smart idea because it is an individual need and want. There are multiple styles in fashion that can attract customers. One tip that I have for you is to add more time on the interview to gain more information. Overall great job.
