14A Halfway Reflection
14A- Halfway Reflection
1. Tenaciousness is competency:
One of the behaviors I have used so far for this class is focusing on time management. This class requires a lot of hard work and consists of my assignments, however it is also very consistent. Each blog post takes about the same amount of time to complete in addition to peer review comments. With that said, I tend to schedule time for these assignments each week because I know how long they take. I write each assignment down on a weekly to-do list so I do not forget. I have definitely developed a tenacious behavior when it comes to this class. I think it mostly because I know what I have to do each week and each required step of submitting an assignment. Once I realized I am capable of it, I have become committed to each assignment each week.
2. Tenaciousness is also about attitude:
Last week, I had a moment where I felt like giving up. I had two exams for other classes and I was very stressed and exhausted. However, this week I am less stressed out and went into each assignment with a positive attitude. I genuinely enjoy completing assignments for this class, so reminding myself of this is helpful in getting my self out of the “lazy” mindset.
3. Some tips:
A few tips I have for next semester’s students are to (1). Stay organized. Write a list or set reminders on your phone about your assignments, because they are not hard and do not take long, and you will be upset with yourself if you forgot. (2). Stay focused and really try to be creative. This course allows you to do really cool things like come up with your own business. Use this opportunity to truly challenge yourself and think outside of the box.
Hannah,
ReplyDeleteI agree with a lot that you wrote about, especially your tips for a future student. I focused my response on staying organized and handing assignments in much before the due date and to keep up with work. I also wrote about stressing during exam weeks because they can be very stressful. Good work.
Hi Hannah,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your post and agree with you on a lot of the points you brought to surface. Time management has been essential to completing the assignments on time. This was a difficult skill for me to acquire since I usually do things at the last minute right before the deadline. But overall, this has been a learning experience for me and I am satisfied with what I am getting out of this course. But anyways, great post!
